This article is about famous basketball player, Lamar Odom, and his troubled life and the tribulations he over came with the sport of basketball. He has had many failures, but has had many successes. He has had his infant son die and his dad that was addicted to many different drugs.

  1. Basketball and extracurricular activities in general make a substantial difference in the lives of teens who are troubled and those who are not troubled. The discipline and dedication that it requires to play a sport can easily transfer to their personal life. My question is, "How many professional athletes have cited sports as saving them from a troubled life?"
