Does basketball help teens from a troubled life?

Reflection on Sources
I really didn't have a problem finding reliable sources. I did have a problem finding true stories about problems that may have had in their young years. For the most part I found really good sources and they were very clear about what they wanted to get across. The most useful source was the website with all the alternatives and the experiments that they made with real teens. None of my sources showed any bias that much and they helped my topic a lot.

Reflection on Process
The Process seem to be very easy but it had the challenging parts sometimes. I think I enjoyed the Wordles the most because it let us get that artistic part of our imagination to come out. The colors that we got to use made our blogs stand out at certain places and I love color and stuff that stands out. I really disliked the finding paragraphs because there were a lot of different things we needed. I would change how I did things and when I did them. I would be more time friendly.
Reflection on Findings
In my research I found a lot of new information that I might not have worked. There are many different ways that kids can have a bad troubled life and people may never have known. I really don’t have any questions because I understood everything pretty well and the information that was given to me has helped my research. I found that there are different alternatives besides basketball that can help a child and keep them on track in life. My Findings have made me clearly understand my topic and has helped me become more aware with people around me and the way I treat these people because I don’t know who they really are.
Finding Paragraph #3
In my 3rd finding paragraph, I found that there are alternatives for these children that may have had a troubled life when they were younger. One of the most used alternatives are other sports like football and soccer. They use these sports to get away from all the problems or things they may have. Football is a contact sport and people use that to get out their aggression out. Soccer is also a contact sport but the aggression is taken out on the ball. Teens also join clubs and organizations to get into other things that they may like. For example: Art, Music, Theater, or other organizations. I found this information on my graph from EBSCOhost and it has helped me tremendously. These alternatives answered one of my main questions from my Animoto and have helped my blog a lot. This should help make my blog a very reliable source.

Finding Paragraph #2
Also in my research I found that a lot of the problems that deal with abuse and may cause them to become more mean to people and rude to people that they may not know. Mental and physical abuse hinders the kids from playing to their full potential and possibly ruins their body. Mental abuse can cause the child or teen to have very low self-esteem or become less social with kids they might not know. Basketball makes you become more social with different types of kids and teens because you need to talk to play the game of basketball. Also, in my research it says that parents that mentally abuse their children do it because they had it happen to them when they were younger. Physical abuse it from anyone that is carrying a burden from something in their past that still haunts them. Abuse can happen to anyone and cause them to become a complete different person.

Finding Paragraph #1
In my research I found many new solutions and ways that teens use sports to make them happy. They use it to get away from problems they may have at home and at school. It helps them become more social and also helps them become more responsible. Girls that started playing sports found that their life seemed to be less complicated and an easier way to deal with. Guys that play sports found out that the more they played the more stress and frustration they may have gotten out. Girls need motivation to help them play a sport or join a school club, and they might not have that support from someone. My research has defiantly changed my perspective on how basketball can help someone become a completely different person. Teens tend to not think that something like a sport could help them out with their problems but it does.

This article has statistics of teens joining extracurricular activities after school so they can get away from the problems
they may have at home or at school with other students. Main reasons that teens get into clubs and extracurricular activities are because they are having behavior problems or social problems. There main social problem is being respected, and their main behavioral problem is arguing. These can be changed if others encourage them to play sports.

What I Would Like To Know
My question is very hard to learn about but there is always a question you can find about the subject. I would really like to know what race this effects more and what age group is more mentally abuse. Learning about these things can really change the world and also can educate other people about what is going on behind closed doors. What other sports may help with teens and their troubled home life and what kind of emotions do they show when they play these sports? Is there a way school can help teens stay out of trouble and get them to play these sports? What emotional problems do kids that are mentally abused have? All of these questions go through my head when I hear this one question. There will be many more questions I may have but there is always an answer out there somewhere. Follow me!
What I know About This Question.
The question I asked is Does basketball help teens with a troubled life? From my personal experience I know a lot of teens that play sports to get away from all the hard times they may have in school or more importantly at home. Parents still mentally and physically abuse teens when they may be angry at something other than the teen. Some teens play the sport with anger and may cause them to take it out on another player because they may have fouled them. Also, when some teens are angry they have a lot of adrenaline running through their body and that may help them run faster or player harder. Playing basketball can cause the troubled teen to get all the emotions they me be holding in. Teens hold in a lot of emotions to not show they are weak on the inside and basketball is a good way to get them out.

The Story Behind The Topic
Some kids grow up and may not have the perfect life at home. Kids grow up angry at the world because of things that happen at home. The reason for my topic is that I know a lot of people that has grown up and become criminals and are not on a good track in life. I also know people that has been playing basketball all their life and they have become very good people and have become successful. When I am mad I always go outside to play basketball because it helps you think and get your mind off of everything around you. There is a lot of different people and different ways they have succeeded and failed because of a troubled childhood. Basketball is a very essential way to help when your mad or upset. Many kids have wonderful lives when they are young and others have parents that are fighting or arguing but if you have basketball that can help tremendously.
